Founder, SupportED & Teach For America Alum (Miami 2014 Corps)
Jacques Etienne’s (he/him) first love is history and he truly wants to inspire all who he encounters to make sure that we learn from the lesson of the past and create a brighter future for our youth. Jacques is a youthful, energetic educator who is inspired by social justice movements to help motivate and influence students to learn lessons from history. He is very interested in breaking out of the classroom and affecting policy through his experience in schools.
Jacques is a Teach For America Miami 2014 corps member who is originally from Long Island, New York. After his corps experience, he decided to move to Atlanta, Georgia where he had the opportunity to work at a PBL school. Throughout his experiences, he has made the conscious decision to be out and present for his students and most importantly himself.
Jacques holds a Master of Science in Education from the University of Miami and Masters of Arts in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Touro University. Currently, Jacques is founder of SupportED which is a consulting company that does work around teacher retention.
